Pre Fall Possibilities

After last winter's record breaking cold, snow and length, you may not be up for thinking about fall 2014, but I'll bet you're pretty sick of the wardrobe you wore and wore for months on end. As we start working on Pre Fall, the clothes that can carry you from the end of summer into the early fall and on into winter, there are a lot of possibilities for you to consider including the new replacement for the jacket: the tunic jacket. Turning the 1945C pattern into a lightweight, but each tunic look is detailed as well as using a colorful Santa Fe inspired fair isle knit. Just a couple of the many ideas you'll find in this email issue that lands in your inbox by late July 7.

Don't go searching for this fabric in your swatches...it's the tee
shirt knit!! Hard to believe that this digital print could appear
with so much surface depth when it's an ordinary knit. When I wrote about digital printing in April, I just had to find you an amazing digital print for you.

These fabrics are only available to the Luxe group until July 21 and
then anyone can order them. If you would like any of them, email me
for the detail about them and I will put you on the waiting list if
there is any remaining after they've had their chance.
This digital Floral Print is on a black pique ground and would make a
fabulous simple skirt to wear with a slouchy knit top ala Jason Wu,
Bottega Veneta, and so many others that getting away from the
ubiquitous, sleeveless dress and bringing a more casual look to
daytime with a skirt and sweater silhouette. Do we have Jenna Lyons
at J Crew to thank for bringing this look into the fashion trend
mainstream for the last few years? Maybe so.

and this interesting black French fleece like fabric that has rows of
trim applied to it every 3" apart...all vertical. Below it is an
unusual fabric--Glazed Silk Jacquard, also a French import and would
subtly brighten up your knit basics too.
